VECTr is not currently available for purchase, but is still in the developmental stages. On January 1, 2019, patent number 10,167,055 was issued for Variably Expanding Chain Transmission!
The purpose of this website is inform the biking community of this new technology, to conduct market research, and to connect with potential developers/manufacturers.
Joseph Magee, Ph.D. invented the VECTr bicycle gear system in 2014 after more than 10 years of thought, design, trial and re-thinking. The design continues to evolve and improve.
Dr. Magee earned his Ph.D. in 1999 and published his dissertation in 2003.
He currently teaches and works at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.
